We are proud to announce the honorees of our second #Shes100 Equity Awards Program. #Shes100 Awards highlights a group of phenomenal Black women who are making a major impact in Washington, DC in the areas of Health, Economic Empowerment, Education, Advocacy, and Corporate Social Responsibility.
Each honoree was selected based on their advocacy and impact they have made by advancing services, resources, and/or policies that address the plight of marginalized people as well as their ongoing commitment to advancing equity in the District. Their work demonstrates a strong commitment to serving the community, addressing disparities when it comes to economic empowerment, and paving the way for more Black women to continue to succeed and give back.

Alethia Jackson, Vice President, Federal Government Relations and Head of Advocacy at Walgreens, championing advocacy
Cheryl Shaw, Associate Broker at Area Real Estate, championing economic empowerment
Tonia Wellons, President & CEO of Greater Washington Community Foundation, championing corporate responsibility
Katreena Shelby, Principal, Kramer Middle School, championing education
Dr. LaQuandra Nesbitt, Director, DC Health, championing maternal health
