Economic Empowerment Programs

  • $isternomics Empowerment Grant

    The Sisternomics Empowerment Grant stands as NCBWDC’s commitment to economic empowerment. Each year, this grant identifies and invests in Black women-owned businesses across Washington, DC — the entrepreneurs who are reshaping their communities through innovation and determination.

  • Wealthy Wednesdays

    This program equips participants with practical budgeting strategies and financial planning knowledge they can apply immediately. Beyond sharing information, it builds the financial confidence women need to take control of their money and chart a path toward long-term financial wellness and independence.

  • Career Development & Salary Negotiation

    In this program, women develop career-critical skills to articulate their professional value, negotiate fair compensation, and advocate confidently during performance reviews and job transitions, breaking through earning barriers and creating pathways to leadership and economic advancement.
